As a completely self-taught artist Vicky stared taking photos whilst travelling Australia back in 2003. Her love of the land and sea blossomed and after graduating in 2006 with a 2:1 in Graphic Design and Illustration and she combines the great outdoors with taking beautiful images mainly of landscapes and seascapes. This exhibition will feature a series of works created on her travels in Iceland.
Victoria believes what makes her images different are the varied subjects, scale and post production. Her resulting images are full of colour and are seemingly viewed through a sometimes romantic filter.
“These are meant to be beautiful images, ones with which people can live and also identify. They are snap shots of places in your mind brought to life”. (Pearson:2008)
Oxfordshire based Pearson exhibited at the West Oxon Show (Bampton) for the first time in the summer of 2007. Since then she has showcased at The Chipping Norton Theatre and at the Brewery Arts Centre in Cirencester all in 2009.
